What's Your Game Plan?
It seems like everybody, everywhere has football on their minds. With big games this weekend and the Super Bowl coming up on Sunday February 4th, it is time to get planning!
What makes for a perfect game day spread? We think it comes down to two things: food that’s easy to eat standing up and dishes that are easy to cleanup when even the rowdiest of guests has left! So, roll out that craft paper on the table & get yourself a plan!
First things first: What will you serve on?
Bamboo and Palm leaf plates make fantastic, eco-friendly serving options that give guests a casual yet stylish game day experience. And here’s the bonus- they can clean up after themselves when they are done! And you don’t have to feel guilty because they are sustainably grown and biodegradable. So pat yourself on the back for being environmentally friendly and stylish all at the same time!
Second - What will you serve?
No matter where you are in the country, game day food is game day food. Whether it’s chili, burgers, nachos, or wings – make it easy for your guests to eat while watching the game. Palm Leaf Bowls allow for soups and chilis to be served individually while also maintaining that casual vibe.
Third – How will you tie it all together?
When serving burgers, big or small, hold them together with any toothpick. You can grab football themed, knotted, or colorful beaded picks that rock your team’s favorite colors.
Either way, tie your food together with your big game day theme. Even finger foods, like these mini muffins with prosciutto, are eaten easily using the football pick.
Fourth – What will you do about dessert?
5th – How will you keep them calm?
We can’t forget the fun drinks that ease all the game day tensions! Whether your team is winning or losing, make the best of your party by
Providing an array of fun cocktails to serve to your guests. You can go so far as to put together a large pitcher of “big game booze” or just offer an array of beer, wine, alcohol and mixers. But either way, don’t let your friends go thirsty!
